This awesome old Stoneware Prosit german beer stein is in great condition and a wonderful piece to own. Incised on bottom with "Germany" which is worn down from age but you can still read it in the correct lighting. Has crazing inside and out as to be expected from age but no chips or cracks. Colors are Dark green and maroon on a beige background and black stripes along the top. It has a raised relief image of a woman wearing a dress and a hat holding a beer stein in one hand and an instrument that looks like a Lute hanging from her other shoulder. It also says "Prosit" under the woman and has raised relief flowers all around. Has german sayings on both sides and the number 474 raised on the side. There is a round hole on handle which I believe there was once a lid attached. Measures 6" tall. A must have for any stein collection.
