Old Nuremberg Albrecht Durerhaus Plate

Sadly enough, the backstamp on this wonderful plate is blurred to the point of being illegible. There is a silver and black oval stamp on the back, which indicates that the plate was purchased at the Aranoff Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio. The front of the plate, however, is a different story. There is fine detail and depth in the buildings down the street. In the center at the bottom of the plate are the words, "Old Nuremberg," and then over to the side at about the 4:30 position is this, "Albrecht Durerhaus." The plate is sizeable, 9 3/4" inches in diameter. The plate has a hole in the back to afford a means of hanging it. There is still a piece of fine wire left from when it hung in someone's home. The plate is in very good condition--no cracks, chips, or repairs.
