Old inkwell paperweight. Controlled bubbles on the inside & a band of hatch cut work around the center on this very nice inkwell. Can be used as a candle holder if you prefer. Hole is about 1 1/4" across & 1 1/2" deep, it is wider almost ball shaped inside of paperweight. It is aprox 4 x 3 1/2" I don't know the age of this, but it appears pre 1900, & I have seen similar sphere paperweights in museums that are marked pairpoint, but this is not marked. It has a ground & polished pontil on the bottom. Very lovely, mint condition
