Weeden records that a Joseph Jenks at Lynn, in 1642 was the first worker in brass andiron on the continent, making divers models for many domestic implements and common tools. Tradition has it that the very first article actually cast was an iron quart pot. Picture shows scene with pilgrims looking at Iron Pot. workers in background are pouring molten Iron in mold.
