This antique hanger was used to hang an old punching bag for boxing. "Patented June 12, 1900", "Nicols No. 309" is on the underside. There is a fancy design embossed on the top. This hanger is made of strong metal. The diameter is about 3". It is about 1 1/4" high. There are 3 holes for attaching it to the bag. The rope coming out of the center is secured with a round metal ball. Some of the metal plating has worn off over the years. There is some rust present. This hanger could use some cleaning. This would be a very nice addition to your antique boxing collectibles.
