18th century oval engraved brass British pill box marked Alfrid Marsh Flempton Green on the hinged lid and bearing an impressive engraved nautical compass on the underside. Perhaps the owner was a sea fairing merchant. The piece has a weighty feel in the hands and the lids still closes sound to protect what ever precious contents might have been inside. This rare and impressive example would make a great addition to any fine collection.
