Orginal Tropical Oil Panting By William DeShazo

  VALUED AT $9000 FOR RESALE     This original tropical seascape oil painting was purchased in Honolulu, Hawaii, in the 1980′s where Mr. DeShazo’s art has always been in high demand. It was purchased at Center Art Galleries which has since been closed. Authenticity has been confirmed by Carol DeShazo and we have documentation of email correspondence to  confirm. Mr DeShazo painting has also has been Appraised by an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers. He has not named this painting, however this is common for Mr DeShazo since he has quite a few oil paintings that he hasn't named.

The painting is done on hard-board and measures 24 x18  without the beautiful gold frame.

William DeShazo was born in New Mexico and raised in Arizona just north of the Gila River and Mexico. He thrived on guns and herding cattle and capturing wild ponies to add to his string of horses. His rancher dad bought his first real sketchbook when he was twelve years old to keep him occupied during long solitary cowboy hours and away from bawdy bars south of the border.

He began his formal training in art under the influence of America’s foremost classical artists. His great imagination and sensitivity combined with mastery of a glazing technique all his own, and his dedication to portrayal of the subject he loves so well the sea against rocky shore and majestic bluffs has made a place for him in the annals of art history.

Mr. DeShazo is 78 years old and still very active in painting.
