Oil on canvas by Edith Morehouse (American, 1899-1979), studied with Robert Henri, Frederick Bridgeman, etc., winner of Best Female Artist In America award, painter of the Grand Dames of the North Shore, Long Island, New York, Gold Coast in the 1940's and 1950's. Taught painting in Garden City, New York. This work of " Still Life With Vase, Pitcher And Ceramic Bowl" is well executed. Morehouse was a member of the National Association Of Women Artists.
