An Ohio Star pattern quilt top from the 1850-1860's. It has 7" blocks and it is machine pieced. It has stain lines due to folds and edges of the fabric being in contact with the wood of a storage chest. Oil from the wood has transferred to the fabric over the years of contact while in storage. The calicos have no fading or wear.
