Octagonal Marble Inlaid Tripod Table

This antique Louis XVI period octagonal table features its original, polished inlaid white marble top and brass railing. Condition is extraordinary. Top features golden bright inlaid banding (believed to be satinwood) and pedestal features fluted shaped inlay. Pedestal sits upon three outswept legs with ebonized edges ending in scrolled feet with casters. Measures 29.75" wide and deep and 29.5" high. Signed on the underside. This exceptional table was purchased from H.M. Luther, one of the finest dealers in northern European antiques in New York, with locations in The Carlisle hotel on 76th Street and on East 11th Street. (They currently have a similar Louis XVI period table in amaranth and satinwood (without marble center) offered for over $50,000.) Available for shipment or pickup in Greenwich CT.
