This c. 1935 OCELOT Cat Print, measuring 11 1/2" X 14", is by Clare Turley Newberry. Known for devoting her life to fullfilling her fascination with cats. She has written and illustrated a series of books about cats, has exhibited her work and was recognized for her work both nationally and abroad. This ocelot, Pounce, is possibly from her study of the big cats at the Bronx or Central Park Zoos. This print is one of many from a portofolio of Newberry cat drawings, titled "CATS"
