You are looking at a very pretty gesso on wood antique frame with a 10” X 20” antique oil on canvas painting. This piece was framed by the Mrs. G.W. Sittler Art Gallery, which opened its doors in 1882. The frame is very old but still in good condition. There is a break in the gesso on the left side and there are hairline cracks all around the frame. The corners are tight, there is no separation taking place. The gesso is broken on 3 of the corners. The painting appears to be in great condition. I do not know the artist or exact date it painted or framed. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. The frame measures 15 inches tall, 25 ¼ inches side to side and 1 ¾ inches front to back. It weighs 7 pounds with the canvas intact.
