Antique Victorian English Paper Papier Mache' Lacqured Tea Tray
Offering a lovely antique English Victorian papier/paper maché tea tray and stand - Please note that the tray is antique (ca. 1855's) and the base is vintage.
The center of the tray features lovely hand painted botanicals with fine gold scrollwork. The base was custom made for the antique tray of regency faux bamboo with French sabre legs.
The tray fits solidly and tightly on the base which is excellently crafted. The cross stretcher of the base of course adds to the stability of the table.
The tray is in very good antique condition there is some cracking and a ring stain on the top. There is crazing and some very minor chipping along the border. It has a wonderful patina and an air of elegance and nobility.
