Antique Swedish Scandinavian Ebonized & Gilded Tallcase Clock

Unavailable

This longcase clock has an ebonized wooden frame and features extensive gilding and gilt bronze mounts depicting neoclassical figures and motifs, generally of Greek origin. Believed to have been made for the Swedish market based on the coat of arms depicting Swedish blue and gold colors featuring reindeer symbol, and the ring diacritic punctuation of the letter "a" in the red emblem at the crest, commonly used in the Swedish (and Danish) alphabets. All components of the movement appear to be intact except for the weights, and we are confident the clock may be returned to working order upon inspection and adjustment by a professional horologist.
