Antique, 1902 A.D. pewter beaker commemorating the coronation of Edward VII and his wife Alexandra as King and Queen of the United Kingdom and the British Empire. Manufactured by F. & M.N. Ges Gesch Germany. Decorated in low relief with portraits of King Edward VII and the Queen Alexandra, The Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom, the scenes of the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, with the script below. SOUVENIR * CORONATION –JUNE - 26 - 1902. While this cup is dated June 26, 1902, the Coronation was actually postponed on short notice and was held on August 9, 1902.

 

MEASUREMENTS:

Height: 8.8 cm (3.46 inches).

Diameter (at the widest). 5.7 cm (2.24 inches). 


CONDITION: With signs of usage and lovely age patina, the rim bends.
