Found in High Society Circles back when entertaining and home dinning was a formal event; where the ladies dressed in long flowing gowns and the men wore tails, ascots and cummerbunds and the dinner lasted for hours; course after course. These aren't made anymore; I searched everywhere. I did find one that went on auction at Christies in South Kensington, London, England in October 2006. It came from the estate of Lady Anne Hollenden who I believe was the Baroness Burghclere of Walden. This piece doesn't have the provenance of the Baroness, my mother bought it at Crown House Antiques in Chappaqua NY, where I grew up, in the mid 1950's so I expect this was made in the mid 1850's. This is a glimpse in to the past and a time forgotten.
