This charming mid-nineteenth century Danish clock has the signature of the maker, M. Jorgen Muller, and the date of 1849 on the dial inside the chapter ring.
At nearly seven feet tall, this antique Scandinavian longcase grandfather clock is large enough to be seen - and heard - in the largest hallway, foyer or family room, yet its size in no way diminishes its elegant and classic feel.
The case is painted creamy white with gold gilding decorating the hood, trunk, and plinth.
Two Corinthian columns anchor either side of the long trunk door.
The interior of this Danish longcase clock is painted a rich rose shade which perfectly complements the warm patina of the aged brass pendulum.
This antique Scandinavian grandfather clock is an eight day clock with brass works striking the hour on a cast bell.
