Antique Saw Jointer & Raker Gauge

Unavailable

This is a clean cast iron hand saw jointer gage that is not marked by the maker.  This is an Atkins patent type, most likely made by one of about 6 American casting houses after the time when the original Atkins patents ran out and were not renewed.  One of the first Atkins patents on this design was in 1874, to give you an idea of vintage.   It's in very nice condition with little wear, no rust. It measures 5.3" long overall x 2.25" high. A nice clean cast iron tool for restoring hand saws! Condition is very good usable, with no rust, no cracks or damage, no missing parts, clean, simply insert a flat file and use it on your hand saws!
