Antique Regency Style Bed Mahogany Inlay Pattern Brass Trim EXTRAVAGANT BEAUTY

 This is a beautiful Regency style bed. The headboard and footboard are intricately covered in mahogany veneer in a diamond pattern. This bed has brass corner moldings and feet as well as brass moldings on the headboard, footboard and side rails. This bed is in exceptionally nice condition for its age. The bed is made to fit a mattress and box spring that are 74 inches long X 57 inches wide. This is a little wider than your standard full size mattress however a full size frame will sit down inside the mattress area to hold a full size bed. That is how the previous owner used it and how we have it displayed in our store. However you can also have a custom box spring and mattress made to fit if you should choose. There is a slight separation between the footboard and the post for the side rail on the right side of the footboard; check out the photos below. The side rails are slightly scuffed on the tops from past use. I do not know the maker or exact date this bed was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. The headboard measures 38 ½ inches tall, 60 ½ inches side to side and 3¾ inches front to back. It weighs 40 pounds. The footboard measures 31 3/8 inches tall, 62 1/8 inches side to side and 3 1/8 inches front to back. It weighs 32 pounds. The rails measure 5 5/8 inches tall, 76 5/8 inches side to side and 5½ inches front to back. They weigh 20 pounds total.
