Antique 18th century Polish silver cross. The shape of the cross is a characteristic form of polish military crosses, so – called “Krzyż Kawalerski” (Knight’s Cross) frequently displayed on the 17th – 18th century hussar armour and military banners.
DETAILS: Made of silver, decorated with raised knobby and diamond patterned bands of fine filigree bead work and open wire work, adorned at the center with cabochon carnelian.
The back stamped with large silver hallmark.
Height including the suspension loop: 5cm (2in)
