Antique Merklen Brothers Oak Hall Bench, Ca. 1885-1890

Unavailable

This is a great hall bench made by Merklen Brothers in New York City 1885 to 1890, in good original finish. Minor repairs and gluing of the joint were made plus it has been cleaned and waxed. Spiral turned legs and stretchers, barley twist strands woven into lattice work in the back, carved talon and ball feet. Not a one of a kind piece because it was manufactured, but relatively rare and quite beautiful...It is truly a piece of Art!! Measures 54" long, 37" tall, (at tallest point in center.)
