THis is one of two antique victorian momento brooches that I have for sale. These were found together when I purchased an antique jewelry casket ( which I have). I was pleasantly suprised to see that there were antique treasures in side. In the Victorian times, people would save a flower or a four leaf clover of a loved one and put it under glass like this. This looks like it was put on purple backed glass ( you can see thru it). It is silver soldered and the brooch back is also soldered. The last photo shows them both together ( you are getting the one on the right in the last photo). This measures a little over 1" x 7/8". To think that someone loved these enough to keep them all these years just makes my heart melt!
