Antique Louis XVI Style 16-Light Bronze Chandelier After Pierre Gouthiere

This fabulous ormolu bronze chandelier, circa 1880s, is one of two chandeliers were have which are modeled after designs by Pierre Gouthiere (1740-1806), the noted French metalsmith who received numerous commissions from the court of King Louis XVI. It features a fluted stem wrapped in vine and sixteen candle arms supported by six flower bud chains. The quality of the casting is very high. Its classical and organic style will compliment a Louis XV or English Georgian decor as well. It has modern sockets, candle covers and wiring, and is ready for installation. Measures approximately 40" tall and 32" across.
