This wonderful, life-size Italian marble statue, signed G.M. Roma dates from the 19th to early 20th century, and depicts a Roman goddess in robes, holding a cornucopia.  The work appears to depict Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture, or possibly Ops (meaning plenty in Latin), the fertility deity and earth-goddess of Sabine origin.
