This wonderful antique porcelain jar with celadon glaze with dark craquelure in the style of Chinese guanware of the Song dynasty (960-1279) features a gilt bronze frame in the French Louis XV neoclassical style, supported by three foliate decorated scrolling legs ending in paw feet, terminating at the shoulder of the pot in open-mouthed serpents on a reticulated mount with guilloche and floral rosette motifs, with a lid with acanthus leaf designs and finial of leaves and berries.  12 inches across with 13 inch height.
