ANtique Georgian 63 Diamond choker hinged pendant sterling chain 1714-1811 or Tiara accessory

$1,600.00

This fabulous antique Georgian hand wrought piece looks like it might have been a necklace or choker of some sort. OR Possibly a piece from a famous tiara !.. (THanks to a helpful etsier who rememebers a piece like this on the BBC roadshow. )> I was told it could have had another piece like this that would have hung from the other side of the tiara. The center piece which is 2" x 1 12" holds 37 hand cut diamonds and on the back it has three long prongs that look like they might fit over a black velvet ribbon . On this same piece there is a solid bale ( see photo) that hooks the diamond ribbon section which holds 26 round and baguette hand cut genuine diamonds. From that piece is a silver chain that has a watch toggle . THat chain measures 8 3/4" long. If I were to keep this piece, I would have a jeweler convert it into a necklace by adding one more piece of chain on the other side of the bale. This piece is guaranteed to be Georgian ( 1714-1811) and it is all original to each other. Imagine the necklace that this would make and the history you would be carrying on!. All the diamonds are real and each one is hand set and faceted. Sorry no discount or paypal on this  piece. Sold as is to be restored.        VintageSparkles offers Layaway on all our pieces regardless of which site it comes from. All layaway payments will need to be in the form of a check or money order only.
