Antique French Empire Eagle Bronze and Marble Mantel Clock

This wonderful mantel clock in the Empire style from Deschamps of Paris dates from the early to mid nineteenth century.  20.25 x 7 x 6.25 in.  Escapement is signed TMB Deschamps horlonger a Paris. It features a rosso antico rouge marble base with gilt bronze mounts including Napoleonic French coat of arms, wreaths, and patinated eagle holding a sphere with mounts including stars and band of zodiac figures. The face includes roman numerals in brass with open moon hands.  It has a brass spring driven silk thread movement with strike on bell on the half-hour and the pendulum is missing.
