Here we have a really nice antique wall tapestry that is stretched and framed. This tapestry appears to be very old, possibly from the 1800’s. It is in need of a professional cleaning but there are no problems with the tapestry. It is in great condition with no rips, tears or snags. It is stretched tight in the frame. There are 3 English courting scenes on this tapestry. The frame is wood with gesso and in good condition. There are hairline cracks on the corners of the frame from shrinking and expanding over the years. The frame is painted bronze and gold. I do not know the maker of the tapestry or frame or the exact date they were made. This piece is a very old antique and will not be perfect. The frame measures 26 5/8 inches tall, 59 ½ inches side to side and 2¼ inches front to back. It weighs 9 pounds.
