This is a very nice original condition Edison Diamond Disc long-playing Phonograph c1912-1929. This beautiful piece of furniture is model 3-C and serial number 620. The cabinet appears to be black mahogany wood and in great condition for its age. The speaker cover fabric appears original and is in good condition. To the right of the speaker is the disc storage cabinet and the original numbered decal is still there as well. The center section of the cabinet top lifts to reveal the phonograph. Inside the interior wall behind turntable in gold it reads: “THE NEW EDISON PHONOGRAPH OFFICIAL LABORATORY MODEL”. Beside the turntable in gold letting is: “TRADE MARK THOMAS A EDISON” and a brass label on the interior wall beside the turntable reads: “TRADE MARK THOMAS A EDISON, EDISON DISC PHONOGRAPH PATENTED NO’S NOV 17 1903 JAN 30 1906 FEB 4 1908 MARCH 11 1913 SEPT 15 1914 MAY 23 1916 3-C 620 THOMAS A EDISON, INC., ORANGE, N.J., U.S.A.” I do not know the exact date this piece was made. This phonograph is antique and will not be perfect. The cabinet measures 37 ¼ inches tall, 44 inches side to side and 23 inches front to back. It weighs 130 pounds.
