Antique Counter from Aveyron France, Circa 1900

This charming piece was most likely a registers counter in a French butcher shop. There are two drawers and two full length shelves on the backside. The wood is possibly 'chatignier' or chestnut, and the decorative motifs include a lop-eared pig, a lop-eared lamb, and a calf. There is a picket fence with oak leaf and laurel leaf vines to either side
of the center motif.

This antique French cabinet can be used for any kind of storage and will be a wonderful conversation piece. Condition: Nicks and rubs to wood; top and sides have minor stains and rubs
