Antique Boring Machine Auger Bit 2.0 Inch Sargent

Unavailable

This is a hard to find boring machine auger bit (2.00 dia. x 9" long) (end shaft diameter is .515" at the end 1/2 inch length, and the 1/2" length closer to the spiral is .55" diameter).  The same shortened shaft is marked by a part of the maker's name, "SARG" which we believe to be  Sargent & Co, New Haven, Conn. U.S.A..  This is a double cutting edge, double inside spur type spiral good and sharp, ready to use.  The 1/2" diameter end shaft may take a bit or tuning, just depends on the type chucking system you have on your boring machine.  Overall very good condition, not rusty, some staining, sharp, some small areas of minor dings, good threaded end tip. Drill runs fairly true, minor run out.
