Antique tin, in the form of an old ornate chest with slightly domed top. Underneath is stamped "Huntley & Palmers Biscuits, Reading, London, England. Made in England". Small tin, so must have been just a few biscuits - also the base rises up into the tin in a dome shape, further limiting the biscuit volume. Measures 12 cm by 8.5 cm and about 4.25 cm high (4.3/4 inches by 3.3/8 inches and 1.3/4 inches high). Some marks, but in very good condition for its age. No rust. Possibly the sort of small ration size biscuit tin sent to the troops in the 2nd Boer War.
