Antique Arts & Crafts Mission Style Solid 1/4 Sawn Tiger Oak Revolving Bookcase
This Antique Arts & Crafts Mission Style Solid Quarter Sawn Tiger Oak Revolving Bookcase, circa 1910, is classic Arts & Crafts/Mission style. Inspired by the works of William Morris and Gustav Stickley, the Arts & Crafts and Mission Style designers deliberately attempted to replace the more mass-produced ornate furniture styles with the simple lines of classical furnishings carried through in understated straight lines. Construction included extensive use of quarter-sawn oak, sturdy well portioned design, unadorned lines and exposed tenons, with functionality and utilitarianism as key.

This lovely Antique Arts & Crafts Mission Style Solid Quarter Sawn Tiger Oak Revolving Bookcase exemplifies just that, with its solid quarter sawn tiger oak construction, straight-line features, including the straight-line vertical slats. The Antique Arts & Crafts Mission Style Solid Quarter Sawn Tiger Oak Revolving Bookcase has the original casters, original revolving mechanism, and measures, 40.00 inches H X 22.50 inches W X 17.75 inches D, and is in the original finish with appropriate wear for its age.
