Neoclassical Cobalt Blue Ceramic & Silvered Bronze Jardiniere Pot Centerpiece
This magnificent and larger ceramic jardiniere with cobalt blue glaze features wonderful silverplated metal mounts including masks, ribbons and floral swags, and animal paw feet. Measures: 14" tall and 17" in diamter. It dates from the late 19th to early 20th century and is in good condition. There is some visible wear in spots to the plated finish, consistent with age. Underside carries the impressed mark of the model number, 2589, but we have not found a maker's mark. We believe this may come from the factory of Sarreguemines in France, or other French faïencerie.
