Antique 17th Century Aubusson Tapestry
This stunning French Aubusson Tapestry dates from the 1600’s and has its original measurements. With its figures, buildings and verdure foliage background, the scene is typical of the Aubusson tapestries from the 1600s and 1700s. The tapestry depicts two men and a goat enjoying the afternoon in the woods. One of the men is playing a flute while the other man looks off to the side into the woods. A castle on a hill is in the background with faint traces of more buildings to the side.
This magnificent antique tapestry will be an asset to any room.
