SOLD Antique 16th century European Burgonet helmet circa 1550-1600 A.D. A hand forged one-piece skull extended to form a pointed peak and neck-guard, each with narrow recessed borders, and a lightly roped turned edge. A pair of hinged cheek-pieces each pierced with a circular arrangement of ventilation holes, and each with borders to match the peak and neck-guard, with blackened finish throughout.
HEIGHT: 29 cm (11 3/8 in).
CONDITION: In good condition considering its age, the interior showing rust perforations.
