You are looking at a really nice spool style antique rocker. This rocker is ¼-sawn oak with a dark finish. The splat, stiles, stretchers and armrest supports are all spool style spindles. There is a custom fitted upholstered cushion that is button tufted and has long bullion fringe over the seat rail. The seat is wood under the cushion and the veneer is bubbling and splitting in several spots. The upholstered cushions are in great shape with no stains, odors, rips or tears. The rockers are solid and the chair is very solid and sturdy. There are 3 dark lines that look like burns on the right arm. There is a gouge on the left arm. See the photos below. I do not know the maker or exact date this chair was made. This chair is antique and will not be perfect. This chair measures 43¾ inches tall, 25 5/8 inches side to side and 32¾ inches front to back. It weighs 32 pounds.
