For Sale I have a beautiful piece of Carnival Glass made by the Northwood Glass Company of Wheeling, West Virginia. The pattern is known as Stippled Rays. The Shape is a Ruffled Bowl with a collar foot and the base color is Green.
The bowl depicts Rays coming from the center of the piece to about an inch and a half from the outer edge. The Rays are Stippled on alternating bands. The iridescence on this piece is Spectacular as there are strong hues of Fuchsia, Blue and Gold throughout. The backside of this Bowl is typical in that it is plain.
The bowl is signed with an "N" in a circle on a button in the center of the bowl. The piece is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There is no iridescence loss to report either, only the usual straw marks made on these delightful pieces. This bowl was made Circa 1902-1920.
