We offer a magnificent painting by Jon Varley of wales near Caernarvon. The rugged beauty of the countryside is captured exquisitely by this well know Benezit listed artist. Measurements provided above relate to the framed picture. The actual dimensions are 12 inches by 7 inches (30 cm by 17.5 cm). Varley was born on August 17, 1776 and died on November 17, 1842. He was a close friend of William Blake. His works hang in the Tate, the Royal Collection, the Fine Arts Museum of St Francisco, Harvard University, Leeds City Art Gallery, Manchester, the Smithsonian etc. Identified to rear.
