North Brothers Yankee Screwdriver Ratchet No. 130A

$28.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a very good working, clean 1920's era ratchet spiral screwdriver. It is marked "YANKEE NO. 130A NORTH BROS. MFG. CO. PHILA. PA. PAT. DEC.11.23 MADE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", on the main nickel plated shaft. This screwdriver is the mid-size that North Bros. made in regards to tooling, or the tips that fit into the chuck, they are the .280 (9/32") shank diameter size. This screwdriver comes with one very good slot tip. We have others for sale, sold seperately at this website. There is some wear on the screwdriver, about 60% nickel plating intact, with about 0% of the handle paint intact, no rust or damage. We do note some minor dings and scratches on both the wood handle, and on the metal. In very good mechanical condition, works great. This one has a rapid return spring, on the spiral system, so it springs back after you push it in to drive a screw. It also had a lever tab control ratchet system for driving or un-screwing screws, and the spiral system can be locked down, or in the closed position for ratchet use only as an use option. It measures 17.5" long overall with no tip in the chuck. We generally have hex shank adapters sold seperately also (T5630A) in stock for this size screwdriver.
