The ark is floating upon the flooded land. The Giraffe's are throttling full speed ahead. Noah is at the bow and leading the ark. A great piece of stone. Lewis's style is blocky. Lewis carves a broad variety of subjects- single figures to figural tableaux that illustrate complex narratives, like that portrayed in this piece. While Lewis frequently returns to a subject, his work is never repetitive- he creates inexhaustible variations on his themes. "While artistically mining old time religion, Tim chose what to leave in and what to take out of the stories he tells" - Dan Prince.
