Niels Peter Christiansen (Danish 1873-1960) Oil on Canvas in a Gilded Frame; titled: Grazing cattle at Roskilde fjord, signed lower left with the monogram: N. Chr. Circa 1900-10. Note: He studied at Technical School in Denmark, but traveled widely throughout Europe, Turkey, Palestine and Egypt. He exhibited at Charlottenborg from 1917 and he was a member of the Artist Society of November 18. Christiansen preferred landscapes with domestic animals in a naturalistic interpretation.
