Neoclassical Porcelain Plaque of Maiden by L. Malpass

This 19th century painted porcelain plaque depicts a lovely maiden in classical Roman setting, and is signed L. Malpass. Frame measures 29 x 23 x 2.5 inches and the plaque measures approximately 23 x 17 inches. Malpass is a listed artist said to have worked in the atelier of Paul Blot of 3 rue de la Paix in Paris.  Porcelain objects, including vases, urns, plaques and other such items, regularly appear at major auction around the world.
