This is a wood cylindrical box or case covered with a tartanware plaid paper that could be a needle case, a vinagarette or perfume bottle holder. The antique holder is 3.25 inches high by 1.5 inches in diameter but is missing the bottle if it was a perfume bottle case or vinagarette. There is a small amount of old gauze in the bottom. The needle case or holder was made in England where I found it 1900-1910s and is in very good ++ condition. The tartan plaid covering is intact but is a bit wrinkled and shows wear on the edges but is still a neat and very collectible piece.
