A beautiful string of what I believe to be natural stone beads. They could be jade and I believe they may have been dyed. They are aprox 24" long with a barrel clasp. On the clasp is a Chinese character. I do not know what it stands for. I really have no idea just what the age of these lovely beads are, no markings other than the character in Chinese. But, taking into account who they were purchased from, they could date anywhere from about 1955 to 1970's. They are timeless classics. They would have looked great in any era. The only "flaw", if you wish to call it that, is the cord is "bunched" between two of the beads near the clasp. I believe they are strung on green silk cord.
