Gonder Original #950 Sheriff Cookie Jar

Item Description:  Gonder Original #950 Sheriff Cookie Jar.  From the Original Line and marked Gonder Original 950.  This highly collected cookie jar is finished in Yellow and Green.  This color combination is less common than those finished entirely in Yellow.   This piece is approx 11.75" high and 9" wide.  This is rarely seen and valued at $825-$1200 in this color combination.  

This is the exact piece shown in the guide by Boshears, "Gonder Ceramic Arts: A Comprehensive Guide".  I purchased this piece from a long time collector shortly after that guide was published in 2001.

Condition:  Excellent condition.  Some minor flaking around the right foot - I suspect done in the making.  One flake on the underside of the green vest (not seen when displayed).  One tiny nick on the opening which is not seen when lid is in place.  Touched up glaze miss on each of the pistols.  One tiny chip on the rim of the lid (not seen when displayed).  One repaired? glaze flake under the rim of the lid.  Minor crazing.   All in all, this piece is in much better condition than most of these I have seen or owned!   I can provide photos of these areas if you so require.
