SOLD Authentic Ancient North - West Persian bronze sword blade Circa late 2nd to early 1st millennium B.C.
A long tapered sturdy blade, with shaped shoulders, and a pronounced mid – rib extending to the tang.
Condition: Excellent; no cracks, or repairs, the surface is covered by a light green patina and earth encrustation.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 48.3 cm (19 inches).
PROVENANCE: From an old Canadian collection of Antique Arms and Armour, 15 years ago verified by Canadian museum experts as an authentic period specimen.
