The date is July 25, 1847. The Sea Witch was built in New York by J. W. Griffith in 1846 for shipping firm Howland and Aspinwall of New York. Ships hull dimensions were 170' 3" x 33' 11" x 19'. The main nast 83' high. Signed lower left corner.
