This is a great set of educational flash cards from the National Geographic Society, circa early 20th century. "A New and Distinctive Series of Separate Pictures for Schoolroom Use". There are 48 individual 9" x 11" cards, along with their original protective envelope. Each has a photograph (a few are color) along with a brief descriptive article about the subject, written for grade-school-age children. The back sides are blank. Most of the cards are in near-excellent condition, a few have slight wrinkling, dog-earing, etc. This set is The United States, General View, Group V, Section 3.
