Early pot by Maria Garcia, then known as Marie Povecha, From San Ildefonso Pueblo, before she married Julian Garcia. Made in second quarter of the 20th century, ca 1925/1929. A small pot 5 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall. In very good condition, some missing paint, and one small scratch on the side near the top. very symetrical bowl. The museum described this bowl as having geometric designs in highly polished black slip, on a matte background. Thanks for shopping in the Land of Native American Pueblo's!
